> Public data ScraperCompany collects on a schedule and keeps as change-only history. Each dataset has a free page with its latest values; the API returns every item and its history, and the whole dataset downloads as one SQLite file.

## How they work

- Free page: a sample of the latest build, also as keyless JSON at `https://api.scrapercompany.com/datasets/summary?name={name}` (rate limited per IP).
- `GET /v1/datasets/{name}/latest`: the current value of every item, 1 credit per call.
- `GET /v1/datasets/{name}/history`: one item's history, 1 credit per call.
- `GET /v1/datasets/{name}/download`: a short-lived link to the whole dataset as SQLite, 500 credits.

### What are these datasets?

### What does the API add to the free pages?

Every item instead of a sample, filters on the server, and each item’s history, for 1 credit per call. The whole dataset is also a SQLite file you can download for 500 credits.

### How is the history kept?

Change-only: a value is stored when it differs from the last one, with the first and last day it was seen. A price that sits still for a month is one row, not thirty.

### Can I ask for a dataset?
