# DiscoverCars car rental: `POST /v1/cars/discovercars`

Car-rental offers from every supplier DiscoverCars sells at a place.

One pick-up place (`location` text such as `LAX`, or `place_id`) and a
rental window. Each offer has the supplier, car, ACRISS code, class, the
rental `total` as DiscoverCars lists it in `currency`, free cancellation,
payment type, mileage, fuel policy, deposit and the supplier's rating;
`cheapest_by_class` gives the lowest total per car class. Offers come
cheapest first; `limit` caps how many are returned.

Request body (JSON):

- `pickup` (string (date-time); required): Pick-up date and local time, `YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM`.
- `dropoff` (string (date-time); required): Drop-off date and local time, `YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM`; same place as pick-up.
- `currency` (string; optional; default USD; min length 3, max length 3): Currency of every price.
- `limit` (integer; optional; default 100; min 1, max 1000): Offers to return, cheapest first.
- `location` (string | null; optional; min length 2, max length 120): Airport code, airport or city name, looked up with DiscoverCars' own search box. Ignored with place_id.
- `place_id` (integer | null; optional; min 1): DiscoverCars place id (LAX is 4798): `place_id` of a result from `POST /v1/cars/discovercars/locations`.
- `driver_age` (integer; optional; default 35; min 18, max 99): Driver's age.
- `residence_country` (string; optional; default US; pattern ^[A-Za-z]{2}$): Driver's country of residence (ISO code); some suppliers price by it.

Base URL: `https://api.scrapercompany.com`. Auth: send your key in the `x-api-key` header. A failed request (4xx or 5xx) or an empty result costs 0 credits.
