# SEC financials: `POST /v1/sec/financials`

Cost: 2 credits (2 (an empty answer, an unknown company and failed requests are free)). Docs: https://scrapercompany.com/docs/reference/sec-financials

Headline figures from the company's own XBRL filings, newest period
first: revenue, cost of revenue, gross profit, R&D, operating income,
net income, EPS, operating cash flow, capital expenditure, cash, total
assets and liabilities, equity, long-term debt and shares outstanding.

One row per period: the latest filed value (restatements win), with
the fiscal year and period of the report that first gave it, the form,
filing date and accession number. A quarter filed only inside
year-to-date sums (cash flow, and every fourth quarter) is the
difference of two sums and is marked `derived`. `concepts` adds any other XBRL
concept as filed. Companies that file no XBRL are a 404.

Request body (JSON):

- `company` (string; required; pattern ^(\d{1,10}|[A-Za-z][A-Za-z0-9.\-]{0,9})$): Ticker (`AAPL`, `BRK.B`) or SEC CIK number (`320193`). Find the CIK of a company without a ticker, a fund or a person by name with `POST /v1/sec/companies`.
- `period` (string; optional; default annual; one of annual, quarterly, all): `annual` (fiscal years), `quarterly` (three-month periods; balance-sheet values at every quarter end) or `all`.
- `limit` (integer; optional; default 8; min 1, max 40): Most periods per metric, newest first.
- `concepts` (array of string; optional; max items 20): Extra XBRL concepts to return as filed, such as `AccountsPayableCurrent` or `us-gaap:InventoryNet` (us-gaap when no taxonomy is named).
