# Private raises (Form D): `POST /v1/sec/private_placements`

Private companies and funds raising money, from their Form D
notices, newest first: the issuer (name, CIK, city, state, phone, year
of incorporation), industry group, revenue range, securities offered,
amount offered, sold and remaining, minimum investment, number of
investors, the date of first sale, and the executives, directors and
promoters named in the filing. A long read stops before the time limit
and says `truncated`.

Request body (JSON):

- `query` (string | null; optional; min length 2, max length 300): Words the filing must contain: a company, city or person.
- `industry` (string | null; optional; min length 2, max length 60): Form D industry group, exactly as filed: `Other Technology`, `Computers`, `Telecommunications`, `Business Services`, `Biotechnology`, `Pooled Investment Fund`.
- `since` (string (date) | null; optional): Earliest filing date.
- `until` (string (date) | null; optional): Latest filing date.
- `include_amendments` (boolean; optional; default false): Also read Form D/A amendments.
- `limit` (integer; optional; default 20; min 1, max 50): Most filings read, newest first.

Base URL: `https://api.scrapercompany.com`. Auth: send your key in the `x-api-key` header. A failed request (4xx or 5xx) or an empty result costs 0 credits.
