# SEC full-text search: `POST /v1/sec/search`

Filings since 2001 whose text matches a query, 100 per page, newest
relevance first: form, filing date, period, the companies and their
CIKs, business locations, industry codes, 8-K items and a link to the
matching document. Without a query, `forms` lists the newest filings of
those forms.

Request body (JSON):

- `query` (string | null; optional; min length 2, max length 500): Words or a "quoted phrase" as in EDGAR full-text search; `OR` and `-word` work.
- `forms` (array of string; optional; max items 20): Form types to search (`10-K`, `8-K`, `S-1`, `D`). Without a query, lists the newest filings of these forms.
- `since` (string (date) | null; optional): Earliest filing date.
- `until` (string (date) | null; optional): Latest filing date.
- `page` (integer; optional; default 1; min 1, max 100): Page of 100 hits.

Base URL: `https://api.scrapercompany.com`. Auth: send your key in the `x-api-key` header. A failed request (4xx or 5xx) or an empty result costs 0 credits.
