A Bright Data alternative for Google Hotels data

Bright Data runs a general web-data platform; its Google Hotels Scraper API is one pre-built scraper, priced per record and delivered as JSON, CSV or to cloud storage. ScraperCompany is built for travel data: Google Hotels with price calendars, plus direct OTA rates, official hotel sites and Google Flights.

Below: the cost of listing hotels and of fetching one hotel, the free tiers, the inputs each takes, and where Bright Data is the cheaper or the broader choice.

Bright Data figures as of 14 October 2026, from brightdata.com/products/serp-api/google-search/hotels, docs.brightdata.com … google-hotel-discover-by-search and docs.brightdata.com … google-hotel-collect-by-url. Check their site for current terms.

Cost of listing 1,000 hotels

Bright Data charges per record; in its sample responses a record is one hotel. A ScraperCompany search page holds about 20 properties and costs 4 credits, so 1,000 hotels take 50 pages. Cheapest first:

Pricing. Prices are in US dollars. New accounts get a free trial of 50 calls or 14 days, whichever ends first, no card needed; after it, buy a credit pack or pick a plan. Out of credits returns HTTP 402. The ScraperCompany dollar figures on this page use the monthly plan prices; credit packs cost a little more per credit.

Listing 1,000 hotels from destination searches
OptionHow it is countedCost
ScraperCompany Scale50 search pages × 4 credits = 200 credits$0.160
ScraperCompany Growth50 search pages × 4 credits = 200 credits$0.199
ScraperCompany Starter50 search pages × 4 credits = 200 credits$0.245
Bright Data Scale (records beyond the included volume)$1.30 per 1K records$1.300
Bright Data pay as you go$1.50 per 1K records$1.500

A Bright Data record can carry more than a search-page listing: its page lists phone number, star classification, room options and availability among the fields. A ScraperCompany search listing carries rating, class, amenities, images, coordinates and the lowest price itemised into base, taxes, fees and total; room-level detail is a separate call, which the next table prices.

Cost of one hotel's details

Bright Data collects one hotel by its Google Hotels URL. ScraperCompany returns one property page, with every seller's price, for 5 credits. Here Bright Data's pay-as-you-go record is the cheaper of the two on every ScraperCompany plan.

Frequently asked questions

Is ScraperCompany a Bright Data alternative for Google Hotels?

For Google Hotels data, yes: both return hotel listings with prices for a destination and dates, and a hotel's details. Bright Data is a general web-data platform, and the Google Hotels Scraper API is one of its pre-built scrapers, priced per record. ScraperCompany is a travel-data API: the Google Hotels routes share one key and one credit meter with OTA rates, official hotel sites, guest reviews and Google Flights.

Which costs less per hotel listed?

For a destination search, ScraperCompany: 1,000 hotels take 50 search pages of about 20 properties at 4 credits each, $0.245 on Starter and $0.160 on Scale, against $1.50 on Bright Data pay as you go. For the details of one hotel, Bright Data's pay-as-you-go record ($0.0015) is cheaper than a ScraperCompany property page on every plan: $0.0061 on Starter, $0.0040 on Scale and $0.0033 on Business. A ScraperCompany page carries every seller's price for the stay.

What is a record?

Bright Data prices per record and the pages we read do not define the word. In the sample responses in its documentation each record is one hotel, so this page counts one hotel as one record. ScraperCompany prices per call: a search page costs the same credits whatever number of properties it holds, and an empty page is free.

How do the free tiers compare?

Bright Data's is 5,000 records a month with no credit card. ScraperCompany has a free trial instead: 50 calls over 14 days with no card, which is 50 search pages of about 20 properties, or 1,000 listings. After it, the $15 credit pack buys 7,500 credits, 1,875 search pages or 37,500 listings, valid 12 months. Units differ, so compare on the data you need rather than on the headline number.

How are failed requests billed?

Neither bills them. Bright Data says it charges only for what is successfully delivered and never for failed deliveries. ScraperCompany charges 0 credits for any 4xx or 5xx response and for empty search pages.

When is Bright Data the better choice?

When you need more than Google Hotels. Bright Data lists scrapers for other Google products and many other sites, delivery straight to cloud storage, and unlimited concurrency, where ScraperCompany limits requests per minute and concurrency by plan (300 a minute on Starter, 3,000 on Scale). ScraperCompany is the better fit for hotel and travel data: a calendar of up to 330 nights per call (90 by default), itemised prices and OTA rates in one API.
